The Wonder Years of Fred Savage

Born in a Chicago suburb, Fred Savage began appearing in local TV commercials from the time he could read. In 1986, Fred made his big-screen debut in Disney's The Boy Who Could Fly. Savage's subsequent film roles of note included the inquisitive grandson of yarn-spinning Peter Falk in The Princess Bride (1987) and the junior edition of Judge Reinhold in Vice Versa (1988). After essaying a supporting part in the 1986 TV series Morningstar/Eveningstar, Savage was elevated to top billing in the role of Kevin Arnold on the nostalgic seriocomedy The Wonder Years (1988-1993). Fred Savage is the brother of Ben Savage, star of TV's Boy Meets World (1993), and juvenile supporting actress Kala Savage.

Fred Savage is best known for his role as Kevin Arnold in the television series The Wonder Years, an American television show drama created by Carol Black and Neal Marlens. It ran for six seasons on ABC, from 1988 through 1993. The pilot aired on January 31, 1988 after ABC's coverage of Super Bowl XXII.

The show achieved a spot in the Nielsen Top Ten for two of its six seasons. TV Guide named the show one of the 1980s' 20 best. After only six episodes aired, The Wonder Years won an Emmy for best comedy show series in 1988. Moreover, at the age of 13, Fred Savage gained the honor of being the youngest actor ever nominated Outstanding Lead Actor for a Comedy Series. In addition, the tv show was awarded a Peabody Award in 1989, for achieving two seemingly contradictory effects, evoking a traditional family sitcom while pushing boundaries and using new modes of storytelling. In total, the tv series won 22 awards, and was nominated for a further 54 more.

Teri Hatcher as Lois Lane

Teri Hatcher jumped into acting after a brief stint as a cheerleader for the NFL's San Francisco 49ers. After several small roles, she was cast in 1993 for the television episodes Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. The show was a hit, and Hatcher's success on TV was matched by her success on the Internet: in the early days of the World Wide Web, Hatcher was unofficially "the most downloaded woman in the world." After Lois & Clark, Hatcher moved into feature films, including the James Bond flick Tomorrow Never Dies in 1997, with Pierce Brosnan as Bond and Spy Kids (2001). Hatcher's TV debut was as a “Love Boat Mermaid” on the TV series The Love Boat. She is also known for her long-running series of Radio Shack TV commercials with former NFL star Howie Long. Felicity Huffman and Eva Longoria co-star with Hatcher many on Desperate Housewives.

Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman

One of the most beloved characters in comic book history, Superman was created in 1938 by artist Joe Shuster and writer Jerry Siegel. Superman came to Earth as a baby from the planet Krypton; on Earth he had super strength, X-ray vision and could fly. His only weakness was the substance Kryptonite, which rendered him powerless. He kept his identity secret, posing as mild-mannered reporter Clark Kent and changing into his Superman costume with the distinctive "S" on the chest whenever he set out to do good deeds. Other key characters included his love interest Lois Lane, his news editor Perry White, and the villainous Lex Luthor. Superman was played in the movies most famously by actor Christopher Reeve, and in the popular 1950's television series The Adventures of Superman he was played by George Reeves. His popularity was renewed by the 1990s TV series Lois and Clark, starring Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher.

Traditionally Superman is "more powerful than a locomotive, faster than a speeding bullet and able to leap tall buildings in a single bound."

Most recently at the center of a swirl of rumors about her breakup with boyfriend singer John Mayer, Jennifer Aniston is the daughter of “Days of Our Lives” television show drama star John Aniston.

Jennifer Aniston was born in California, but spent most of her childhood in New York where she attended the High School of Performing Arts.

Off-Broadway roles were the kickoff of her professional career, moving on to TV shows with short-lived performances in a variety of doomed comedy show and sitcom series such as “The Ben Stiller Show” in 1993.

Aniston's big career break finally came with her role as Rachel Green in a newly planned sitcom series, Friends Like These in what would eventually became known as Friends by the time it aired in 1994.

Not only was the show a mega-hit, it scored a huge following for Aniston herself, whose hairstyle on the show became a popular rage among young 20-somethings and became favorite of top celebrities on movie.

Today, Jennifer Anniston's hair continues to enthrall fans as she sports a straight-down style, obtained with a flat iron and which has brought the "Sedu" iron style into the popular lexicon.

Aniston next tried her hand at film, racking up critical acclaim in such romantic comedies as She's the One, Picture Perfect, and The Object of My Affection. Along the way, she met actor Brad Pitt and Hollywood's new golden couple were married in 2000.

The official news of the rumored breakup between Aniston and husband Brad Pitt was announced in January, 2005. Since then, rumors have have been reported directly linking actress Angelina Jolie to the much gossiped-about breakup.

Following her separation from Pitt, Aniston officially filed for divorce in March, 2005.

The actress soon after responded with wit and good humor about the famous Anniston-Pitt breakup and gently poked fun at her ex in an interview with Vanity Fair magazine.

Aniston's most current love interest was, until late 2006, actor Vince Vaughn who according to a front cover story by US Weekly, had asked Aniston to marry him.

The report was soon countered by a firm denial by Aniston's publicists, followed by official news reported in People Magazine that the Aniston-Vaughn relationship was over in December. That apparently ended months of rumors about the couple, who ironically met in 2005 on the set of their film The Break Up.

Most recently, the most talked about item in the tabloids is Aniston's breakup with long-time boyfriend and pop rocker John Mayer.
