Early Edition of Kyle Chandler

Actor Kyle Chandler grew up in Georgia, where he helped to take care of their family farm. He eventually went to college at the nearby University of Georgia, where he majored in Drama. It was there that a scout from ABC noticed his charm and signed him to a contract with the network. Chandler traveled to L.A., where he started out doing odd jobs but eventually worked his way onto tv shows like Tour of Duty, Homefront, and What About Joan, TV movies like 1988's Quiet Victory; and feature films such as 1996's Mulholland Falls. The parts steadily became bigger and more numerous, eventually leading to the starring role of Gary Hobson on the TV series drama Early Edition and the role of Bruce Baxter in 2005's King Kong.

Chandler also guest-starred in a memorable post-Super Bowl two-part on the medical drama series Grey's Anatomy, playing a bomb squad leader who comes to the hospital when a patient is admitted who has unexploded munitions lodged in his chest, thanks to his attempt to make a homemade bazooka. Chandler's performance was so impressive that he was later nominated for an Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series Emmy. Following that, he landed the starring role of head coach Eric Taylor on Friday Night Lights, a show based on the movie of the same name, about a small town in Texas where high-school football is among the most important things in life. In 2007, he could also be seen in the Jamie Foxx political thriller, The Kingdom.

What's there to say about Early Edition besides the fact that it's the best tv series on this side of the world. It has everything, good actors, more then enough directors and the plot. The plot, a guy Gary Hobson get's tomorrow's Chicago Sun - Times today, he knows what will happen in the future, a thing that one should be very careful with. His personal mission, to save the world, or at least the ones he can save in his territory, the great city of Chicago. Every day, he goes out to save the world, sometimes with his blind friend, Melissa, sometimes with Chuck (Fisher Adams), a friend that wants to place bets with the aid of the paper. Shortly told, a plot to adore, a plot that has a lot of room for different subjects. On the background Chicago and a man who's saving the life's of his fellow-Chicago citizens.

Actor's Actor: Christian Bale

Known as an "actor's actor" with a widely diverse of movie portrayals, the Welsh-born English hollywood stars movie, born Christian Charles Philip Bale on January 30 1974.

Christian began acting work in TV commercials as a young boy. His first screen role came when he was all of 13. Serious and shy, and having received a bit too much attention from the role, the young actor contemplated giving up acting altogether. But in a legendary meeting with Kenneth Branaugh, he was later persuaded to appear in that actor's film production of Henry V in 1989.

From then on, Bale was kept busy in various teen roles in Hollywood films and TV shows, among them two Disney releases – Newsies and Swing Kids. A year later, he was cast opposite Winona Ryder in the film adaptation of Little Women and in several other movie appearances, including the 1999 film version of A Midsummer Night's Dream.

Batman Begins and The Dark Knight

An even larger fan base of "Baleheads" was to grow as the actor, having just completed filming of The Machinist, was cast as Batman in the new Christopher Nolan-directed film series.

The role required a now emaciated Bale to quickly bulk up for the lead role in Batman Begins, which earned him wide critical praise for his dual portrayal as Bruce Wayne/Batman - and for which he received a "Best Hero" award a year later from a young movie-going public at the 2006 MTV Movie Awards. Bale also provided the voice of Batman for the equally successful video game based on the film.

Following the success of Batman Begins, Bale returned to smaller, independent films such as the critically praised Harsh Times in 2006, and in a secondary role in The New World starring Colin Farrell, along with lead roles in Rescue Dawn and The Prestige starring with Hugh Jackman and Scarlett Johansson.

Bale next appeared in the highly-anticipated sequal in the Batman franchise, The Dark Knight, co-starring Heath Ledger as The Joker, released on July 18, 2008.

Coming up, he will also star as John Connor in the next installment in the Terminator franchise Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins slated for May 2009 release.

Ron Ely as TARZAN

Native Texan Ronald Pierce “Ron” Ely was born on 1938. In The mid 1950s, he enrolled at the University of Texas, but he soon made his way to California. After signing with 20th Century Fox in the late 1950s, Ely appeared in small roles in several films and television series, including the films South Pacific and The Remarkable Mr. Pennypacker and the TV series How to Marry a Millionaire. In 1960 Ely was cast in the CBS series The Aquanauts, but the show was cancelled after just one season. Several more films followed, but his big break did not come until 1966, when the 6'4" actor was cast in the role of Tarzan for the TV series of the same name.

Ely had tried out for the role of Tarzan, but he lost out to football player turned to actor. Mark Henry made three Tarzan films and was originally cast for the series, but he declined it after some bad experiences while shooting his first Tarzan film. Ely was then cast in the role.

After a number of attempts to create a Tarzan TV series had failed, producer Sy Weintraub finally was able to bring Tarzan to the small screen. Tarzan aired on NBC beginning in September 1966 and lasted until September 1968. In the series, there is no Jane in sight. Tarzan is assisted only by Cheetah and Jai, an orphan. Citing sagging ratings and rising production costs, NBC canceled Tarzan in 1968. Throughout the run of the series, several films were released, mostly using footage from the series. In the early 1970s, Ely made a number of films in Germany, where he became very popular in a brief series of adventure films. His next hit would come with the release of Doc Savage.

Ron Ely Today

In the past few years, Ely has cooled his acting career, focusing instead on writing mystery novels focusing on the character, Jake Sands. His novels are titled Night Shadows and East Beach, both published in the mid 1990s. But on occasion, Ely makes appearances on popular TV shows, his most recent being Sheena and Renegade.

Jerry O'Connell: Child Star Actors TV Series

A veteran of the stage and screen from an early age, actor Jerry O’Connell had his first career breakthrough at 11 years old when he co-starred alongside other soon-to-be stars like River Phoenix and Corey Feldman in the coming of age drama, “Stand By Me (1986)”. Summary For Sliders

Quinn Mallory played by Jerry O'Connell, while working on an anti-gravity machine, accidentally creates a portal to a parallel universe.
